At West Cobb Engineering And Tool Inc., we operate the largest capacity 5-axis CNC machining equipment in the Southeastern United States. With a work envelope of 204″ in length, 114″ in width, and 55″ in height, we can machine large-scale aerospace tooling and fixtures with a true position tolerance of ±0.003″. Tighter tolerances can be held as required. With a rich history in the aerospace industries and awards from customers including Lockheed Martin, our reputation for precision engineering and fabrication continues to grow.

Material options include standard metals such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, as well as more exotic alloys such as Invar 42 and Invar 36. As a complete turnkey design, engineering and fabrication company, additional services are available to ensure that any fixture can be completed to customer specifications. These services include designing in CATIA V4 and V5, welding, painting, assembly, and installation.

We operate two laser tracking systems and one CMM dimensional inspection system, capable of measuring large fabrications with an accuracy of ±0.00005″ over a 14′ span. Our specialized machining and inspection equipment ensures that all tooling and equipment is built to the stringent standard upheld by the aerospace industry.
